Spring Creek Canyon in southern Utah has some spots that never see the sun in the bottom because of the high 800 foot plus cliffs of redrock. The canyon at its narrow point is only about 30 feet wide. At the base of the cliffs one can find alcoves full of small animal bones. Mountain lions are prevalent in the area.
